Tri Nations: New Zealand v South Africa Recap

Can I open my eyes yet? Phew, last weeks game was sad and frustrating, I am however feeling a little better about the fact that its over and done with. Now, all Springbok fans can look forward to seeing what PDivvy is really planning for the World Cup with the last remaining fixtures of the Tri Nations.

Hats off to the All Blacks as they were expected to win, but the style they did it in was great to watch. When a team steps up and demolishes the opposition it is always good to see, they showed some killer instinct and pretty much said, "We're insulted by what you have given us and here take 40 points and think about that on your long flight home!"

We all knew the Boks were going to be beaten but it was a case of showing some heart and never giving up (Not that I think they gave up trying). They were going to contest for a while and towards the end of the second half start dropping off....ummm nope. From the 46th minute you just knew it was going to end badly, even worse than initially thought.
Six tries were scored by the home team and thankfully Dan Carter wasn't in a kicking mood as he only converted two of those.
South Africa's only points came from a try from skipper John Smit and a lonesome conversion from Morne Steyn. Basson and Stegmann will be lucky to see a Springbok jersey again this year!

New Zealand 40 South Africa 7

Player of the Week: Corey Jane
