Win or lose this game it is nice to see a strong Springbok team run out in Durban this Saturday. No matter what has happened over the last few weeks and years these next few games leading up to the IRB RWC will need to show growth and positiveness. If they don't, the shit will truly hit the fan for Springboks, the wrath from the Nation will be felt and I feel that nobody will be spared, whether your a World Cup winning Captain, the best lock pairing the world has seen, an out of form winger or the softly spoken but outrageously controversial Coach .
I have been to watch a Tri Nations game in Durban and all I can say is that it's a must. There is awesome atmosphere all around the city and the closer you get to the stadium it starts boiling over. The now famous rugby grounds around the stadium turn into a mass braai areas and the festivities are endless.
Quite a different looking side for the Boks as expected and a relatively unchanged team for the Wallabies, as expected.
The Boks have surprisingly dropped Pat Lambie and Lwazi Mvovo out the Squad but have replaced them with experience and rested players. Heinrich Brussow makes a return to the starting line up which is a huge surprise but I am looking forward to seeing him play international rugby again. An all Sharks front row with John Smit Captaining the side and Bismark du Plessis on the bench to back up at hooker.
All in all a pretty solid line up and I hope they are fired up, because I can't take another poor performance.
The Aussies have only made a few changes but you can't expect much more, especially from the backline. This is possibly one of the most exciting and youngest backlines out there and will always be a threat. They are very strong upfront and have large mobile loose trio. I wasn't a fan of Pat McCabe but he performed reasonably well over the past few weeks, if not for him, Matt Giteau at 12 would make the backline the best that the Aussies have to offer.
The weather looks like it will be around 15 degrees with some rain in the evening.
PreJudgement: Springboks by 12 (Just because they owe South Africa)
