SA Club Champs Quarter Final Preview:

2010 National Club Champs- College Rovers (KZN)
With the first round of games completed at Stellenbosch University the Quarter Finals have been decided and things are pretty much according to plan. With Eight games tomorrow there will be two sets of quarter finals being played as the winners of the first round stay in the cup and the losers playing in plate finals.
QF 1: College Rovers (KZN) v Winter Rose (Border)
This will be quite a one sided affair as the defending Champions take on the relative unknowns in Winter Roses, who surprisingly beat Shimlas to reach this stage.
Rovers have been one of the strongest teams in the KZN club scene for a number of years and are three time finalists in this competition since 2000, winning it once.

QF 2: Maties (WP) v Tukkies (Blue Bulls)
This is going to be a huge encounter as the Club Champs hosts take on Tukkies in a game seen all to often at Champs. They have faced each other a number of times over the past 10 years with Maties winning the majority of the encounters.

QF 3: UJ (Lions) v Welkom Rovers (Griffons)
UJ will be looking for a relatively smooth ride into the Semi's as they take on Welkom Rovers from the Griffons Union. I am however not too familiar with the Welkom side and if there was going to be an upset it would be here.

QF 4: NWU-Pukke (Leopards) v Park (Eastern Provence)
With Pukke being six time finalists and three time winners over the past decade you would expect them to be on of the favorites for lifting the trophy in 2011. Park Rugby Club will have their work seriously cut out for them as they take on a team that has literally been there and done that in this competition.
