Jarrod Saffy made his rugby union debut at blindside flanker for the Melbourne Rebels in the 2011 SupeRugby competition. He has played most of his professional rugby in Rugby League for St. George Illawarra Dragons but started out in Union. He has played Sevens for Australia, Sydney University, the Waratahs Academy and Australia Under-21s. Saffy switched to rugby league to progress faster and made his debut in first grade rugby league Wests Tigers in 2006. He made seven first grade appearances for the Tigers in 2007. Saffy plays rugby league at second-row and also at prop-forward. He played in the Dragons' 2010 NRL Grand Final-winning team. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
My take on whats going on in the rugby world. It also serves as a tribute to a dear friend who passed away, Bruce 'Judge' Little.Your quirky chirps, sense of humor and rugby passion will be missed.
